Everytown For Gun Safety

We've become all too familiar with the cycle of gun violence —from deadly shooting, to sorrow, to partisan bickering, to time passing without any progress, only to repeat itself.

Our assignment was to help Everytown seize the momentum coming out of one of the strongest midterms for gun-sense candidates ever and plant a flag around their legislative agenda for 2019.

We created "Break The Pattern" – an explicit call to action to disrupt the inertia around gun violence.

It started with a series of social media posts immediately following the Thousand Oaks tragedy.

We directed supporters to the website to gain information about Everytown's agenda. On the site, they could opt-in to learn more about opportunities to get involved in the coming year.

Finally, we took our “Break the Pattern” agenda to D.C. for Everytown's post-midterm event to mobilize newly elected officials. Everytown invited candidates like Lucy McBath, who won her election on a gun sense platform, to the unveiling of their 5-point action plan to address gun violence.

At the event, we circulated informative palm cards to give policymakers and influencers the roadmap to #BreakthePattern of gun violence in America.

Over the following months, the campaign resulted in thousands of social media posts urging legislators to #BreakThePattern.
